Third person charged following raid at Connellsville apartment
Police made another arrest Monday following a months-long investigation into a Connellsville apartment which investigators described as a center for drug activity.
Mark Alan Soliday Jr., 26, of Connellsville was charged with three counts each of possession with intent to deliver and possession of a controlled substance, two counts of receiving stolen property and one count of offensive weapons.
Connellsville police and the Fayette County Bureau of Investigation orchestrated multiple drug buys with confidential informants at 109 Gibson Terrace before obtaining a search warrant Jan. 29. Police reportedly found six firearms, including a sawed off shotgun, crack cocaine, heroin and cash.
Last week, Andre Lamont Randolph, 46, and Jamaal Lanier Cook, 29, both of Pittsburgh, were arrested in connection with the investigation following a traffic stop.
Police said the apartment and several of the firearms belong to Soliday. Some of the guns were reported stolen, they said.
Soliday was arraigned at about 10:30 Monday night and lodged in Fayette County Prison in lieu of a $25,000 bond.
Randolph and Cook remain in jail on drugs and weapons charges.
