Police hunt for ‘attractive’ suspect in robbery of 88-year-old Acme woman
State police are working to identify a suspect who reportedly broke into an 88-year-old woman’s home Wednesday, grabbed her and demanded money.
The man attempted to enter the Kreinbrook Hill Road home in Bullskin Township through the front door and garage unsuccessfully for about 30 minutes between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. before pushing in an air conditioning unit and climbing inside, according to state police. The woman told police she heard a loud noise in the back bedroom and met the suspect in the living room. He reportedly grabbed her arm and demanded money. She gave him $100 from her purse and he fled, police said.
Police do not think the suspect knew the woman was home.
The woman described the suspect as a white man in his early 20s, 5-feet 4-inches tall and 130 pounds with a skinny build wearing jeans. He has straight blond hair that stuck out a bit under his ball cap, with no facial hair or visible tattoos or scars. She told police he was attractive, clean and “not the type that would do this.”
