A Uniontown man who is awaiting trial for the alleged sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl is facing new charges for acts he reportedly committed against the same child.

Jody Earl McCoy, 44, of Carnation Street was charged Friday with corruption of minors, indecent assault and indecent assault of a person less than 16.

In the previous case, filed Aug. 22, McCoy was charged with indecent assault and indecent assault of a person less than 16.

The Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ does not identify those who allege they are victims of sexual assault.

According to the affidavit of probable cause filed in his new case, the teen told police during an interview March 29 that McCoy touched her genital area between March and April 2017 after he picked her up from school. She reported he touched her for four or five minutes and she started to cry, which caused him to stop. He reportedly said, “If you were older, I would marry you.”

McCoy was arraigned by on-call Magisterial District Judge Michael Metros. He was released on a $25,000 unsecured bond.
