An arrest warrant was issued for a Uniontown man who allegedly raped a 13-year-old girl and threatened her sister.

Juan Moreno Ortiz, 29, of 290 Morgantown St. is charged with rape, statutory sexual assault, sexual assault, corruption of minors and five counts of indecent assault of a person less than 16.

The Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ does not identify those who allege they are victims of rape.

According to the affidavit of probable cause filed in his case, Children and Youth Services requested help from Uniontown City Police to conduct an investigation March 2. Police attempted to interview the girl, who is now 14, and learned she was missing and living in New York. Officers interviewed her April 23. She reportedly told police Ortiz forced her to have sex with him, promising to buy her gifts he never bought. She said she told him to stop and threatened to tell someone, and he responded “if you tell the same thing will happen to (your sister).”

On five other occasions, she told police Ortiz touched her inappropriately above her clothing.

Charges were filed Wednesday before Magisterial District Judge Michael Metros.
