Dawson bar destroyed in early morning fire

A Dawson bar was destroyed in an early morning fire Friday along River Road as crews worked all night to extinguish the blaze.
Neighbors called 911 at 2 a.m. when they saw huge flames shooting from Chubboy蘑菇视频, formerly Phil蘑菇视频 Nite Club.
鈥淭hey saw 鈥� like the sun coming out of the sky, and that蘑菇视频 what we saw a mile away,鈥� said D.L. & V. Volunteer Fire Department Captain Steve Demko.
Firefighters were just preparing to leave at 10 a.m. after a long night working to contain the fire.
鈥淚t was just too fully engulfed to even try to save that thing,鈥� he said. 鈥淭here are probably tons of gallons of water on there.鈥�
The business had recently transferred to new ownership. An unoccupied apartment was in the upper level.
鈥淚t蘑菇视频 a total loss. They鈥檒l just have to knock it down and rebuild,鈥� he said.
It was unclear what started the fire at the business, which was closed when the blaze ignited. A state police fire marshal was called to investigate.
鈥淓verything went smoothly. No one got hurt. No equipment got broken, so it was a good night to me,鈥� he said.
Seven fire crews, including D.L. & V, assisted Dawson fire department on the scene.
鈥淚t looked like a parade, more than anything,鈥� Demko said.
East Huntingdon, Scottdale, Everson, Connellsville Township, New Haven Hose, South Connellsville and Perry Township also responded to the scene, along with ambulance crews. Morrell fire department was on standby.
