Two Brownsville Area High School students are facing felony charges for a “coordinated, planned assault” on a student, police said.

Nyree E. Mosley and Dataiya Antonia White, both 18 and of Brownsville, and at least two other students allegedly attacked a 15-year-old student in the high school lobby at about 3 p.m. Oct. 29. Mosley and White allegedly attacked school officials who tried to stop the fight. State police issued warrants for the arrest of the students Thursday.

The group allegedly pulled the girl to the floor, kicking her and punching her. A 16-year-old student who stepped in was also attacked, police said. Both girls were taken to local emergency rooms by ambulances. The injured teens were not named in court documents. Police said they suffered minor scratches and bruises.

According to the affidavit of probable cause, the girls “isolated and attacked” the 15 year old. Mosley was reportedly seen on surveillance footage “boxing in” the teen. White was allegedly seen kicking the teen while other students assaulted her. William King, director of secondary education, teacher Robert Hall, Officer Robert Mammarella and Superintendent Keith Hartbauer attempted to break up the fight. Mosley allegedly shoved and hit Hall and King, then shoved Mammarella, who was attempting to arrest her. Mosley allegedly shoved King. After Mosley was separated from the group, she allegedly joined in the attack on the 16-year-old student.

Mosley and White are both charged with rioting, disorderly conduct and six counts of aggravated assault and simple assault. Mosley is facing an additional count of aggravated assault and resisting arrest.

Charges were filed before Magisterial District Judge Mike Defino Jr.
