By The 1 min read

A woman suffered injuries that were serious but not life threatening when she was hit by a vehicle on West Fayette Street near Mill Street at about 11 p.m. Monday, police said.

The 32-year-old Uniontown woman was taken to the hospital by emergency personnel.

Uniontown City Police are investigating the cause of the crash. They said she was crossing Fayette Street from the area of Mill Street when she was struck.

On Oct. 11, a Uniontown man died after he was hit by a pickup truck on West Fayette Street when he was crossing the road from Laurel Ridge Eye Care. Police said the number of pedestrian crashes at the intersection increases in the fall and winter when visibility is low and pedestrians are bundled up in cold weather.
