A 43-year-old Point Marion woman was killed Saturday morning when her SUV hit a tree along Morgantown Road in Springhill Township, state police said.

State police identified the woman as Radelle A. Shea. She was the only person involved in the crash.

According to state police, SheaĢƵ 2015 Chevrolet Trax left the road near the intersection of Larman Mill Road at about 7:15 a.m., driving into a yard. She continued through the yard, parallel to the road for about 95 feet and then hit a tree, police said. She was pronounced dead on the scene at about 9 a.m. by Fayette County Deputy Coroner Robert Furin. Fayette EMS also responded to the scene.

Police said she was not wearing a seatbelt.

Her preliminary autopsy results indicate she died from blunt force trauma, according to the coronerĢƵ office. The final results are pending toxicology.

Shea was driving home from work when she crashed, according to a GoFundMe set up to raise funeral costs for the family.

The page described Shea as a loving and hard-working mother of three.

“She was a mother who put her children first and was always there to support and encourage them on and off the field,” wrote Zach Harkin.

She was originally from Brownsville, according to her obituary.

The fundraising page had raised $2,815 Monday morning, exceeding its $2,500 goal. Cash or check donations can also be made to Dean C. Whitmarsh funeral home in Fairchance.
