A Carmichaels man is behind bars for allegedly pointing a gun at a woman during an argument Monday night.

Michael John Mikalik, 65, of Nemacolin Way is facing two counts of aggravated assault and one count each of terroristic threats, recklessly endangering another person and harassment.

According to the affidavit of probable cause filed in his case, Anna Mikalik called 911 at about 8:40 p.m. to report he pulled a handgun on her at their home.

She told police he was intoxicated. He allegedly pointed the gun through a window about 2 or 3 feet from her. She said he had pointed the gun at her before.

Michael Mikalik reportedly told police he did nothing wrong. After officers spoke to the woman, he yelled profanity and asked for a lawyer, police said.

He reportedly said, “She better not be in that house when I get back,” according to court documents.

He was arraigned Tuesday morning before Magisterial District Judge Lee Watson, who set bail at $50,000. Mikalik remains in Greene County Prison in lieu of bail.
