A Uniontown man was arraigned and released after police charged him with raping a girl when she was 3 or 4 years old.

William Robert Oleksik Jr., 36, of Walnut Hill Road is charged with rape of a child, indecent assault of a person less than 13, corruption of minors and indecent assault.

State police in Belle Vernon began an investigation after they received a ChildLine complaint from Fayette County Children & Youth Services indicating a child reported she was raped about six years ago. ChildLine is a mandated reporting line for child abuse.

Investigators conducted a forensic interview earlier this month. The girl reported Oleksik raped her, calling him “Billy O,” according to the affidavit of probable cause filed in his case.

Oleksik was arraigned Thursday by Magisterial District Judge Michael M. Metros, who set bail at $50,000 unsecured.
