A 31-year-old man wanted on felony drug charges was arrested after a brief chase in Uniontown Thursday.

Jourdan Jamal Jenkins of Uniontown is charged with flight to avoid apprehension, fleeing or attempting to elude officer and resisting arrest.

According to the charges, state police spotted a Chrysler 300 driver speeding through a stop sign at the intersection of East Kerr Street and Bailey Avenue at about 4:15 a.m. Jenkins allegedly fled a traffic stop and drove through two more stop signs before parking outside 120 Cleveland Avenue and running. Troopers chased him for about two blocks, and he fell along the road, where he was taken into custody, police said.

Jenkins had an active arrest warrant filed in July on charges of possession with intent to deliver drugs and receiving stolen property in Smithfield April 12. He was also wanted on a bench warrant for DUI in Connellsville June 15.

Jenkins was arraigned Thursday before on-call Magisterial District Judge Daniel C. Shimshock, who set bail at $15,000 in the pursuit case, $25,000 in the drug case and $10,000 unsecured in the DUI case. Jenkins remains in Fayette County Prison, unable to post bail.
