Search continues for missing 87-year-old man in Dunbar

Officials are continuing a search for an 87-year-old man who left his Dunbar Township home in pajamas Monday night.

Luther “Lukie” Bryner was categorized as an endangered person by police.

He was last seen on foot near his Rankin Airshaft Road home at about 10:30 p.m. wearing a T-shirt and pajama pants, both light-colored. He has a buzz cut with gray hair, hazel eyes, weighs about 140 pounds and is 5-feet 9-inches tall.

“Police believe this person may be at special risk of harm or injury and may be confused,” state police said.

He may be suffering from ParkinsonĢƵ disease or dementia and may be confused, police said.

The search continued Wednesday with state police, the Mountaineer Area Rescue Group, Fayette County SheriffĢƵ Search and Rescue, Lower Kiski Search and Rescue, Allegheny Mountain Rescue Group, White Oak Search and Rescue and West Leisenring Volunteer Fire Department.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or state police at the Uniontown barracks at (724) 439-7111.
