Areas of Fayette County under boil water advisory
The Mountain Watershed Association placed a portion of its system in Nicholson, Georges and German townships, Fayette County on a boil water advisory Monday.
The advisory was necessary due to water loss and a leak which the association has not yet located, according to a release sent by Fayette County Emergency Management Agency.
This affects about 200 customers. These are mostly residential, but the association noted there are a few businesses, including restaurants or bars, which will be affected. The advisory applies to all water coming from the water buffaloes and from any of their service lines.
Water buffaloes are located at the following places:
n Old Jarretts Bar at intersection of Walnut Hill Road and Smithfield Masontown Road
n Nicholson Township Building
n Masontown Mennonite Church
n Strickland Estates (2)
n My Darlins Store – Walnut Hill Road (Near York Run)
n Crossview Acres Rd in the cul-de-sac
