Police: Prisoner assaulted in Fayette County Jail
A prisoner is facing charges for allegedly assaulting another prisoner at Fayette County jail, causing a fracture in his face.
Brandon Brumley, 26, of Waynesburg was charged Thursday with assault by prisoner, aggravated assault, simple assault and reckless endangerment.
According to the affidavit of probable cause filed in his case, Brumley approached Chad M. Jordan and asked if he remembered him. Jordan said yes. Brumley reportedly responded, “I beat your buddy Jeremy up and put him in the hospital,” then walked away. While Jordan was laying on a cot in the hallway at about 8 p.m. Wednesday, Brumley allegedly punched him multiple times with something in his hand. Jordan could not identify the object, but reported it cut his finger when he tried to defend himself.
Jordan was taken to Uniontown Hospital for treatment and later released. His hospital records indicate he had a facial fracture, police said.
Brumley was arraigned Thursday afternoon before Magisterial District Judge Michael Metros. His bail was set at $25,000. He remains in Fayette County Prison.
