Retail theft cases mounting against West Pike Run woman

By Scott Beveridge for The 1 min read

A Washington County woman who has more than 20 retail theft convictions has been arrested again on the charge in Monessen.

Monicca Renay Perry-Lee, 50, is being held in Westmoreland County Jail without bond after being arraigned Friday before a senior district judge in Monessen, court records show.

Senior District Judge Herbert G. Mitchell Jr. noted in court records that Perry-Lee was wanted Friday on 10 outstanding warrants and considered “a danger to herself and the community.”

Court records suggest that she uses as many as 20 different names. Some of the warrants for the arrest of Perry-Lee, of Pike Run Drive, West Pike Run Township, involve failure to appear in court.

Monessen police arrested Perry-Lee Thursday on accusations she stole $36 worth of beauty products about noon that day from Family Dollar, 2 Eastgate Ave., court records show.

Police said she had a crack pipe in her possession and has 22 prior convictions for retail theft.

The new charges against her are felony retail theft and possession of drug paraphernalia.
