Portion of Route 201 in Fayette closed by Thursday morning landslide
A landslide Thursday morning prompted the emergency closure of a section of Route 201 in Fayette County.
The state Department of Transportation said detours will be posted at the section of Route 201 between Brownsville Road in Washington Township and Sisley Town Road in Fayette City. The road will be closed until further notice.
Valerie Petersen, PennDOT spokeswoman, said local traffic will use Redstone Church Road and Navaho Hollow Road. Truck traffic will use Route 51 and Interstate 70.
Petersen said there is not yet an estimate of when repairs will be completed to reopen that portion of road.
