Connellsville man charged with sexually assaulting 12 year old
A 46-year-old Connellsville man was charged for allegedly sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl multiple times over several years.
Mark Allen Glass of Plymouth Street was arraigned and released on a $50,000 unsecured bond set by Fayette County Magisterial District Judge Ronald Haggerty Jr.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, the girl realized she had been a victim of sexual assault after learning about “good touch and bad touch” in school. She reported the alleged assaults to a counselor and her parents. State police conducted a forensic interview with the girl in March.
She told investigators Glass sexually assaulted her most recently around Thanksgiving.
“The victim said that Glass offered her money to keep quiet about the entire ordeal,” Trooper Zachary Webb wrote in the affidavit.
Glass agreed to an interview with state police April 10. He reportedly said he may have touched the girl accidentally, the affidavit said.
He is charged with aggravated indecent assault of a child, unlawful contact with a minor, corruption of minors and indecent assault of a person less than 13.
