Uniontown woman charged with stabbing boyfriend, hitting him with ice scraper

A Uniontown woman allegedly stabbed her boyfriend three times, puncturing his lung, and later attacked him with an ice scraper because he intervened in a fight she had with her daughter.

Patrice Ann Shaw, 36, of 77 South Gallatin Avenue was charged by Uniontown City police Saturday with attempted homicide, recklessly endangering another person and two counts each of aggravated assault and simple assault.

According to the affidavit of probable cause, she and Richard Stacker were arguing at their home during the early morning hours because he tried to break up a fight between Shaw and her daughter. Police said Shaw told him to leave, and on his way out, she stabbed him twice in the arm and once in the back.

Stacker didn’t realized the severity of his injuries, police said, and continued walking. It became hard to breathe as he sat on the church steps at Fayette Street and Beeson Avenue. Police said Shaw drove to the church and Stacker got in the car. They began arguing again, and she allegedly hit him in the head with an ice scraper, according to court paperwork.

Stacker was taken to Uniontown Hospital for treatment. Police said he had two puncture wounds on his bicep and one in his back. They were half an inch to one inch in length. He also had a laceration on the left side of his head.

Shaw was arraigned Saturday morning before on-call Magisterial District Judge Ronald Haggerty Jr., who set bail at $100,000. She remains in Fayette County Prison, unable to post bail.
