Brownsville Police issued an arrest warrant Thursday for a Vestaburg woman who allegedly pulled a woman from a sport utility vehicle before stealing it last week.

Stephanie Jean Sisley, 28, was named a suspect after police found a letter in the SUV addressed to Sisley from Washington County Probation.

According to court paperwork, Rachel Paris stopped to visit a relative at 305 Green St. at about 1:45 p.m. Nov. 15. She opened the door slightly and Sisley allegedly pulled her from the SUV and drove away. Paris told police she identified the woman through Facebook.

The SUV was found the next day parked on Clover Street, and a man was sitting in the vehicle. He told police he knew the driver only as Stephanie. Police searched the vehicle and found a clear plastic baggie in the center console with a gold cosmetic bag inside. The letter addressed to Sisley was in the bag, police said.

Sisley is charged with robbery, theft and receiving stolen property.
