By The 1 min read

State police in Washington County spotted a vehicle stolen from the Uniontown area in an incident that resulted in a response from a SERT team Monday evening.

The vehicle pulled into 45 Hayes Avenue at about 6:20 p.m. before police were able to conduct a traffic stop. Three people fled from the vehicle into the back of the house, police said.

Five people were taken from the building for questioning. One of those was detained on a warrant in an unrelated incident. Two handguns were found outside, according to state police.

A state police Special Emergency Response Team was called to clear the building. No other people were found inside. Police are continuing their investigation, conducting interviews and collecting evidence from the scene, police said.
