A man on a riding lawnmower was injured when he was hit by an SUV near Silver Bar in Masontown Wednesday morning.
The man, whose identity was not released, was flown to a local hospital by medical helicopter, state police said. His condition was not immediately released, but officials said he was going in and out of consciousness.
He was riding a small, green John Deere tractor on Smithfield Masontown Road when he was hit at about 9 a.m. The SUV driver was not injured. Both the SUV and tractor were towed from the scene.
State police are investigating. The SUV driver told officials he could not see the tractor before hitting it.
