Uniontown Redevelopment Authority Chair Paul Palya said board members whose terms have expired can remain on the board for an additional term if they aren’t replaced within 90 days. An article that ran Wednesday didn’t attribute that statement to Palya. The Urban Redevelopment Law does not set a time limit to fill vacancies, allowing authority members to hold office until a replacement is named.
