Dunbar man charged in domestic violence case
A Dunbar Township man is facing a felony strangulation charge following an incident Saturday.
Police were called at about noon Saturday to the home of Jon Michael Ambrisco II, 32, in the 100 block of Dogwood Drive.
According to the criminal complaint, Ambrisco’s wife told police about multiple incidents over the past month, including one occurring the previous night in which he had choked her. Police said he also made threats against her life when she would threaten to call 911.
Ambrisco also faces misdemeanor charges of terroristic threats and simple assault.
District Judge Richard Kasunic sent Ambrisco to the Fayette County jail on $25,000 bond. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 9 a.m. Feb. 23.
