Brownsville woman jailed in armed robbery
A Brownsville woman is in jail, accused of robbing a man at gunpoint.
Rebecca L. Rhodes, 35, is charged by state police with a felony of robbery and misdemeanors of simple assault and theft by unlawful taking.
According to the criminal complaint, at about 7:30 p.m. Monday, Rhodes drove a man to the Village of Searights apartments in Menallen Township, and then took about $1,200 out of his wallet.
He refused to exit the vehicle until Rhodes returned the money. According to the complaint, Rhodes pointed a gun at him and demanded he get out of the car.
Rhodes was arraigned Wednesday night before District Judge Jason Cox, who set bond at $20,000.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 10 a.m. March 1.
