Connellsville man arrested in domestic incident

A Connellsville Township man was arrested over the weekend on a felony strangulation charge following a domestic incident.

State police also charged Ronald Paul Roebuck, 37, with a misdemeanor of terroristic threats. According to the criminal complaint, Roebuck’s girlfriend told police that he had choked and threatened to kill her at a home in North Union Township at about 8 p.m. Saturday.

Roebuck allegedly choked the woman for two minutes, court documents state. Police said she had multiple injuries, including red marks on her neck.

District Judge Ronald Haggerty sent Roebuck to the Fayette County jail on $20,000 bond. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 10 a.m. March 1.
