State police have charged two people in Fayette County for their alleged roles in the sexual assault of a 13-year-old girl.

Daniel Paul Murphy Jr., 36, of Dunbar, and Elizabeth Rose Albrecht, 31, are accused in charging documents of supplying the victim with alcohol and marijuana earlier this year.

The teen told police the incident occurred in February or March at Murphy’s home in the 10 block of Murphy Hollow Road.

According to the criminal complaints, Murphy assaulted the girl after Albrecht left the home. In the days following, Murphy allegedly texted the teen explicit messages and pictures.

Albrecht reported Murphy to police after discovering the messages on his phone. According to the complaint, she previously was not aware of the assault.

Investigators interviewed Albrecht May 16. She reportedly confirmed to police that the teen had been given alcohol and marijuana.

There are active warrants for the arrests of Murphy and Albrecht. Murphy is wanted on felony charges of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, rape and unlawful contact with a minor. Albrecht faces a felony of endangering the welfare of children and a misdemeanor of corruption of minors.
