1 min read

A Uniontown woman was arrested Saturday for wielding a knife during an encounter with police.

Madeline Denise McLee, 29, is charted by Uniontown police with aggravated assault, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.

According to the criminal complaint, police were called to the 100 block of Liberty Street about 1:15 p.m. Saturday after a 911 caller reported McLee had a knife and was “threatening to break things.”

Police said that McLee answered the door wielding a knife and walked toward officers “in a threatening manner.” She dropped the knife when police asked her, the complaint stated.

McLee was arraigned Saturday afternoon before District Judge Michael Defino, who sent her to the Fayette County jail without bond.
