1 min read

A Uniontown woman has been charged in connection with the theft a man’s firearms and other personal belongings from a hotel room in South Union Township.

Nessa Marie Teets, 33, is charged by state police with felonies of theft by unlawful taking and prostitution.

According to the criminal complaint, two other women were involved in the theft but police have only identified Teets.

Police said that Billy Phipps, no age or address listed, called police Tuesday afternoon to report the theft. He was staying at the Holiday Inn Express at 305 Mary Higginson Lane.

According to the complaint, Phipps told police that on Monday, ” … he allowed two females to stay in his hotel room for the night that he contacted off an ad online for prostitution.”

According to the complaint, while Phipps was asleep a third woman came to the room and the women stole four guns, a laptop, PlayStation 5 and his debit card. Police said the total value of the items was about $3,000.

Court records state that police have surveillance footage that shows the women leaving the room with Phipps’ belongings.

There is an active warrant for Teets’ arrest.
