SCI-Fayette addresses water issues at facility
Inmates at SCI-Fayette had discolored water yesterday following scheduled maintenance.
Rhonda House, corrections superintendent assistant at the facility, said there was a planned power outage to allow for a mechanical repair. The water was discolored when the power returned.
House said inmates and staff were given bottled water as a precaution. SCI-Fayette contacted the Tri-County Water Authority and H&H Water for assistance.
As of 9 a.m. Thursday, the situation had been resolved.
