A Fayette County man is being held on $100,000 bail after he was accused Sunday of threatening to drive his vehicle through St. George Maronite Church, 6 Lebanon Terrace, Uniontown.

Uniontown police allege that after being told he would have to wait until regular office hours to speak in private with the Rev. Aaron Sandbothe, Steven Foulk, 55, of Uniontown, got into his vehicle and started to drive very fast in the parking lot, which was filled with people around noon Sunday.

According to the complaint, Sandbothe told police that Foulk was driving “100 mph” through the lot as churchgoers were walking to their cars and eventually blocked the pastor’s driveway.

Sandbothe told police that he and the parishioners were in fear of Foulk and retreated inside the church while Foulk stood outside the locked doors and threatened to drive his vehicle into the building, court documents state. One parishioner said Foulk was yelling that he was a prophet, police said.

Once in custody, police said Foulk continued to cause mayhem by throwing feces and urine out of his holding cell at the Fayette County jail.

Foulk is charged with felony terroristic threats along with vandalism of an education facility and disorderly conduct. He has a preliminary hearing scheduled next week in front of District Judge Jason Cox.
