Final push underway for Give-A-Christmas

Goal: $10,000
There are only a few days left to help the Salvation Army by donating to the Give-A-Christmas campaign.
The annual fundraiser supports programs offered by local units of the nonprofit, including housing and utility assistance and food banks.
This year’s goal is $10,000, with the campaign currently at $6,022.
“I know we can get there. The members of our community are generous and always come through,” said Sparkle the Christmas Star, the campaign’s mascot.
For 40 years, the Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ has hosted Give-A-Christmas, raising in excess of $1 million.
The final total raised will be announced in the Christmas Eve edition of the newspaper. Information about how to donate is below.

Donations can be mailed to Give-A-Christmas, c/o Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ, 8 E. Church St., Uniontown, Pa., 15401. Checks should be made out to Give-A-Christmas. Additionally, donations may be dropped off at the newspaper office Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
All donors are welcome to include notes honoring or memorializing loved ones, or special messages.
