Charleroi man charged with rape of a child
A Charleroi man has been charged with raping a child, according to police.
Pennsylvania State Police were asked to conduct a welfare check on a child in Fallowfield Township on Saturday. After investigating, officers from the Belle Vernon post arrested Miguel Angel Pedrosa, 62, of Charleroi.
Pedrosa is facing several charges, including the rape of a child, statutory sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child.
He is being held in Washington County Jail. Bail was set at $250,000. A preliminary hearing is set before Magisterial District Judge Eric Porter on Thursday, Feb. 6.
