Charity dodgeball tourney set for Sunday

1 min read

The “Dodge for a Cause” dodgeball tournament is scheduled for 11 a.m. Sunday at the Uniontown YMCA.

All proceeds will go to the Ks Foundation, which began in July 2025. The foundation, started by Kia Rose, a 2013 graduate of Uniontown Area High School, covers registration for youth sports for families that make $49,000 or less yearly. The focus is currently on children in Fayette County, but the hope is to expand the foundation’s reach.

The dodgeball tournament was originally scheduled for Jan. 25 but was postponed due to the winter storm.

Registration is $250 per team (six players, plus two substitutes per team), ages 18 and older. There will be a trophy and cash prizes for the winning team.

The event also will feature a 50/50 raffle, Chinese auction and concessions.
