Irene E. Todak Kifus, 97, of Footedale, passed away Saturday, December 6, 2025, in Redstone Highlands Senior Living in North Huntingdon.
She was born October 25, 1928, in Brownsville, a daughter of the late John and Elsie Baden Todak.
Irene was a lifetime member of St. Thomas Roman Catholic Church of Footedale, now St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony T. Kifus; her son, Joseph Kifus; and four brothers, James, John, Charles and Edward Todak.
Irene is survived by her daughter, Terry Surman and husband Bill; four grandchildren, Joseph Kifus and Leaha, Jeannine Shaffer and husband James, Jeffrey Kifus and Amanda, and Sarah Novak; five great- grandchildren, Joseph, Sophia and Vincent Kifus, and Jameson and Juliette Shaffer; and daughter-in-law, Joan Novak and husband David. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be held in St. Francis of Assisi R.C. of Footedale at 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 10. Interment will follow at LaFayette Memorial Park.
Arrangements are under the direction of the DEARTH FUNERAL HOME of New Salem.
