Barbara A. “Me Maw” Zayak, 67, of Labelle, passed away Tuesday, December 9, 2025, in her home, surrounded by her loved ones.
She was born March 15, 1958, in Brownsville, to the late Robert Duvall and Geraldine Shumar Lent.
She was also predeceased by husband, John “Zig” Zayak; stepfather, James “Fish” Lent; brother, Anthony Lent; granddaughter, Nicole Mae Zayak; grandmother, Mae Duvall.
Barbara is survived by sons, Paul “PJ” Zayak and wife Kristin, Robert Zayak and wife Nichole, Nicholas Zayak and fiancee Paige Petrucci; grandchildren, Dylan, Paige, Abigail, Nicholai, Taylor, Makayla, Alaina, Nixon, Parker, Dominick, Makayla, and Aubriella; and great- grandchildren, Ariya and Aliza; siblings, Cynthia Daleo, Bobbie Jo Bakewell (Richard), Kirk Lent (Kellie), Gina Redman (Pete), Jeremy Lent; special aunts, Margie Hlad and Alice McClay.
Friends will be received in the SKIRPAN FUNERAL HOME, 135 Park Street, Brownsville, from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday, December 14, and Monday, December 15, until the 11 a.m. hour of service, with the Rev. Michael Peton officiating. Interment at Acklin Cemetery.
