Frances Marie “Grammy” Cellurale Miller, 81, passed away peacefully Tuesday, December 2, 2025, in Alexandria, Va. Born January 24, 1944, in Connellsville, Frances lived a life devoted to her family, her faith, and her community. She was also known for her love of butterflies!

Frances was preceded in death by her parents, James and Clara Cellurale; her in-laws, John and Susan Miller; her beloved husband, John Edward Miller Sr.; and her siblings, Michael Cellurale Sr., Terry Cellurale, and Toni Kuhlman.

She was a cherished mother to her children, Lisa Young (Chris), John Miller (Aimee), and Mary Ruiz. She was a proud grandmother to Emma (Leland), Meg (Alex), Olivia (Tyler), Abigail, Jacob, Lydia, Christian, Kolby, and Sophia; and a joyful great-grandmother to Callum and LJ. Her love extended deeply to her siblings, Mary Jane Orazi (John), Theresa Cardine (Bill), Jimmy Cellurale (Marilyn), and Albert Cellurale (Kathy); and her in-laws, Larry and George Miller (Patty), Joann Heinen, and Sandy Ondishko (Joe); as well as to her many nieces and nephews, who affectionately knew her as “Aunt Fussy.”

Throughout her life, Frances worked tirelessly in roles that reflected both her strong work ethic and nurturing spirit. She served as a manager at High’s and 7-11 convenience stores and later brought warmth and care to children through her work with Chesterbrook Academy preparing meals, providing childcare, and driving the school bus. Her dedication to others was evident in every job she held.

Frances had an infectious personality; she never met a stranger. Her kindness knew no bounds; she would help anyone in need without hesitation. Known for being silly, she brought joy wherever she went. Her cooking was loved by all, especially her pepperoni rolls!

She found deep joy in singing praises to her Lord and praying with heartfelt devotion. A devout Catholic, Frances loved Jesus with all her heart and lived out her faith daily through acts of compassion and gratitude.

Her greatest happiness came from spending time with her grandchildren-playing with them, caring for them, laughing with them. She also enjoyed playing bingo, singing around the house, and sharing stories over home-cooked meals.

A celebration of Frances’s life will be held in the spring – a joyful gathering complete with a Dairy Queen party in honor of the sweet moments she shared with so many.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice, in memory of Frances.

May the memory of Frances Marie “Grammy” Miller bring comfort to all who were blessed to know her.
