With heavy hearts, the family of Jane Ann Cooley Nara, 78, of Uniontown, a beloved mother, grandmother, aunt and friend, announce her passing Monday, December 15, 2025, in Ruby Memorial Hospital. A proud breast cancer survivor, she faced life with courage, faith, and grace.
She was born October 1, 1947, in Uniontown, the daughter of the late Eleanor Cooley.
In addition to her mother, Jane was preceded in death by her brother, John P. Cooley; sisters, Margaret Cooley and Goldie Baughman; and brother-in-law, Richard Baughman.
Jane is survived by her special friend, David E. Baird of Uniontown; daughter, Bobbi Ann Downs (Robert) of Uniontown; son, Charles Nara (Nona) of Uniontown; grandchildren, Toby, Bobby (Lindsey), Chuckie, and Matthew; nieces, Tabby Durst, Maria Cooley; and nephew, Richard Baughman (Kathy).
She cherished her family and found joy in playing bingo, drinking coffee, shopping, going out to eat, decorating for the holidays, and enjoying her favorite cookies. Known for her warmth and friendly spirit, she never met a stranger she couldn’t talk to. Her love and faith in Jesus will be remembered and cherished by all who knew her.
Visitation will be held in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, Hopwood, from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, December 18. Additional visitation will be held Friday, December 19, from 10 until the hour of the funeral service at 11 a.m., with Pastor Jason Lamer officiating. Interment will follow in Walnut Hill Cemetery.
