Jeffrey Todd Nutt, of Grindstone, PA passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, December 11, 2025 surrounded by his loved ones, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born on August 13, 1958 a son of the late Fanchon and Glenn Nutt.
Jeffrey grew up on a farm where he developed a strong work ethic and a deep conection to agriculture and the outdoors. As a youth he was actively involved in 4-H and the Grange, experiences that helped shape his values and love for rural life. He especially enjoyed riding horses, a passion that stayed with him throughout his life.
Jeffrey proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during his younger years and later the United States Army Reserve.
He was surrounded by his son, Jeffrey Nutt and daughter-in-law, Jennifer Speggan; his daughter, Samantha Etling; his granddaughter, Shaelyn Etling; his grandsons: Damon Etling, Dante Nutt; his siblings: Scott Nutt, Shannon Barkley, and Beth McClain; many nieces and nephews,
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sibling, Robin Maust.
Jeffrey will be remembered for his strength, determination, and perseverance. He fought hard until the very end and passed peacefully as he wished, at home and surrounded by family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Jeffrey’s family will receive friends in the Blair Lowther Funeral Home & Crematory, 305 Rear Independence Street, Perryopolis, PA on Thursday, December 18, 2025 from 3 to 7 p.m.. A funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. in the funeral home at which time Full Military Rights and Honors will be accorded by The George C. Marshall AMVETS Post 103, Hopwood, PA. Interment is private.
