Betty Jane Norman Seto, 89, of Brownsville formerly of Allison 2, passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 1, 2026, in WVU Ruby Memorial Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born June 2, 1936, in Allison 1, to the late Samuel “Ray” Norman and Beulah Radtka Norman. Betty later moved to Allison 2, where she was lovingly raised by her aunt, Harriet Walls, whom she affectionately called “Grandma.”

She met her husband, Nick Seto, and they were united in marriage September 8, 1954, in Frostburg, Md.

Betty dedicated her life to her family as a devoted wife, mother and homemaker, raising her four children with love and care.

Betty worked as a clerk at Gee Bee’s for 17 years.

Later in life, she embraced the Catholic faith and became a devoted member of Holy Rosary Church, faithfully attending Sunday services.

Her greatest joy and proudest accomplishment was the family she built and nurtured. She cherished time spent sitting on her porch, enjoying life’s simple moments, and being surrounded by those she loved.

Betty will be remembered for her warmth, strength, and unwavering love. Everyone who knew her loved her, and her greatest legacy will forever live on through her family.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Nick Seto; her cherished daughter, Joyce Seto Ray; her sisters, Glenndora Reed, Dorothy Kirkwood, Harriet Rauso, and Janet Umbel; her brother, Samuel Norman; and her grandson, Charles Ray.

She is survived by her loving sons, Mark (Wanetta) Seto, David (Gloria) Seto, and Andrew (Debra) Seto. She leaves behind her treasured grandchildren, Brittney (Daniel) Ritter, Nicole Styko, Rocky (Brigette) Rockwell, Alyssa (Rob) Cottrell, Maris (Cody) McKennen, Alexandria (Jacob) Seto, Nicholas Seto, and Emma (John) Seto; along with her cherished great-grandchildren, Madison Jane, Evelyn, Jaxson, Niko, Marcus, Emersyn, Harlo, Micah, Nash, Jace and John.

Friends will be received in the SKIRPAN FUNERAL HOME, 135 Park Street, Brownsville, PA 15417, Monday, April 6, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., and Tuesday, April 7, until the Prayer Service at 10:15 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 528 Footedale Road, New Salem, PA 15468. Interment will be in Holy Rosary Cemetery, Republic.
