Gloria M. Boord Spackman

Gloria M. Boord Spackman, 95, of Uniontown, formerly of Port Charlotte, Fla., passed away Saturday, April 11, 2026 in the Addison, Uniontown. She was born February 2, 1931 in Uniontown, a daughter of the late Edgar C. Boord and Nora Miller Boord.
Gloria was a graduate of Uniontown High School with the Class of 1948 and attended California University of Pennsylvania.
She was a case worker for the PA Department of Public Assistance for 33 years.
After her retirement, she moved to Port Charlotte and became a member of the Edgewater United Methodist Church. Gloria stayed active in the church for many years. She also enjoyed gardening, reading and loved animals.
Left to cherish Gloria’s memory are her daughter, Linda Poremba of Phoenix, Ariz.; grandchildren, Juliana Poremba of Monroeville, and Andrea Poremba of Pittsburgh; her great- grandchildren, Julian Poremba and Carrah Poremba; and former son-in-law, Andy Poremba of Uniontown.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORIES, INC., 80 Morgantown Street, Uniontown, where friends and family will be received Tuesday, April 14, from 2 to 4 and 6 until 8 p.m. Viewing will continue in the funeral home from 10 until the time of a service celebrating Gloria’s life at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery.
