Loretta Mae DeVault Sutton, 89, of Smithfield, passed away surrounded by her family Friday, April 17, 2026.
She was born August 15, 1936 in Markleysburg, to Ethan and Margaret Bates DeVault.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, William “Wayne” Sutton July 5, 2010; they were married 54 years.
Surviving are her son, William Wayne “Bill” Sutton Jr. and wife Lisa of Smithfield,; her stepgrandsons, Travis Plotner and wife Melissa, and Joshua Plotner and wife Sasha; stepgreat-grandchildren, Landon, Colton, Cameron and Theo; sisters, Dorothy Price, Helen Sutton and Rita Dillow, sister-in-heart; niece, Donna Price (Kevin); and nephews, Ronnie Price (Karen), Eddie Sutton, and Jeffrey Sutton (Fiona).
The family will receive friends and family in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 22, and from 9 until the 11 a.m. time of a service Thursday, April 23, with Pastor Matt Davis officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Moriah Baptist Cemetery, Smithfield.
