John W. Dunn
formerly of Uniontown
John W. Dunn passed away Tuesday, January 27, 2026. He was born in 1939, the son of Charles and Josephine Calabrase Dunn. He graduated from Georges High School, Class of 1958.
John served his country in the Army Reserves for eight years.
He worked in Cleveland at General Motors before enrolling with the Pennsylvania State Police. He returned to Uniontown and worked in the Dairy Industry for 37 years. He also loved masonry work and was a volunteer fireman with the New Salem Fire Department.
After retiring, he relocated to central Florida and worked for The Villages part time in a Community Watch Security program for 10 years.
John was very well liked and always available to friends and neighbors in need.
He and his wife, Patty, enjoyed traveling and visited over 30 countries. John also found a love for softball and was recognized as a “star pitcher”. He managed a few teams.
In addition to his parents, John was predeceased by a brother, Ronnie (Diana); and a sister, Sandra (Robert) Jurosco.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Patricia “Patty” Kurek Dunn; his oldest brother, Charles of Altoona, Fla.; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral arrangements are being made by BEYERS FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY in Lady Lake, Fla. Entombment will be at a later date in Lafayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill.
