Grace J. Monaghan

Grace J. Monaghan, 88, of Uniontown, passed away peacefully Monday, February 9, 2026, in her home, with loving family by her side. She was born March 21, 1937, in Uniontown. Preceding her in death were her parents, Charles Hostetler and Ora Belle Franks Hostetler; husband, Patrick J. Monaghan; son, David Ferguson; and two siblings, AC Hostetler and Mary Snyder.
For many years Grace owned and operated the Monaghan’s Personal Care Home, where she provided loving care to every patient residing there.
She attended Grace Chapel at High House, and was a very loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
After her financial obligations were met, Grace would love to visit the casinos and play the one arm bandits.
Left to cherish her memory are six children: James Ferguson (Cindy) of Uniontown, Charles Ferguson (Cheryl) of Adah, Kim Silbaugh of Uniontown, Georgia Miller (George) of Adah, Patricia Hull (Josh) of Melbourne, Fla., and Destiny Monaghan of New Salem; 16 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a special nephew, Robert Hostetler; other family members, and many friends.
Friends will be received from 3 until the hour of service at 7 p.m. Friday, February 13, in the SHELL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 164 S. Mt. Vernon Avenue, Uniontown, with Pastor Tim Tanner officiating. Interment will be private.
