Samuel Dean, 73, of Ohiopyle, passed away Tuesday, February 17, 2026. He was born July 7, 1952, a son of the late Samuel and Mabel Williams Dean.
He is survived by his wife, Tracy; daughter and son-in-law, Sammi and Justin Hostetler; son and daughter-in-law, Bryan and Jessica Burnsworth; grandchildren, Kaylen and Colton Burnsworth; sister, Doris Harshman; and many nieces and nephews.
He had worked as a custodian for Uniontown School District and was a member of Ohiopyle Fire Department since 1969 serving as chief, engineer, firefighter, and mentor over the years.
He loved making crafts and walking sticks, and spending time with his family and his beloved Chihuahua, Qiqi, who sadly passed February 8.
Arrangements are under the direction of the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, Farmington.
Interment will be held in Irwin Memorial Cemetery.
