Mr. Christopher A. Franz, 93, of Dunbar (“Juniata”), passed away Wednesday, December 31, 2025 in Lafayette Manor.

He was born in Uniontown August 18, 1932 to the late Joseph and Mary Duritsa Franz.

Christopher was a veteran of the United States Army having served during the Korean War; he was honorably discharged with the rank of corporal.

He worked at US Steel National Tube Works for over 35 years.

Christopher was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great- grandfather. He always provided for his family and enjoyed spending time with them.

He loved to golf and mow his lawn.

Christopher is survived by a daughter, Monica Murphy and husband Samuel of Smock; granddaughter, Jennifer (Horanic) Kern and husband Bruce of Vanderbilt; and great- grandchildren, Gabriella Kern, Juliana Kern, both of Florida, and Logan Kern of Minnesota.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 65 years, Mary Ann Klippi Franz; and brothers, Joseph Franz and Henry Franz.

Services are private.

Interment is in Sylvan Heights Cemetery.

The family wishes to express its appreciation to the staff of caregivers at Lafayette Manor, for the care they provided to him in his last few months.
