Cynthia Kushner, 75, of Uniontown, passed away Monday, January 5, 2026. She was born October 11, 1950, in Uniontown.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Frank and Betty Varto; sister, Mary Skelton; brother, Stephen Varto; and two nieces, Dawn Renee Bassinger and Susan Clawson.
Surviving are her son, Andrew Kushner and wife Veronica; two grandchildren, Jackie and Justin Kushner; two great-grandchildren, Chandler and Charley; brother, Frank Varto; two sisters, Cheryl Wonkovich and husband Jack, and Cathy Clawson; and several nieces and nephews.
She was employed for many years at Sensus Technologies until her retirement.
The family will receive friends and family from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday, January 8, in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, where visitation continues Friday, January 9, from 9 until the time of the funeral service at 10 a.m., with Pastor Michael Lyons officiating. Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown.
