Charles John “CJ” Brown, 89, of Fayette City, passed away on Friday, January 16, 2026, in Penn Highlands Mon Valley Hospital, Monongahela.
He was born on March 29, 1936, in Perryopolis, a son of Forbes and Jessie Coldren Brown.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Rex Brown.
CJ is survived by his wife, Carolyn Joyce Belcher Brown; sister, Joyce Brown Ludwick; brother, Bruce (Betsy) Brown; brother-in-law, Curt (Michele) Buttermore; and various nieces and nephews.
In honoring CJ’s wishes there will be no public visitation. A graveside service will be held at a later date.
