George Allen Ribniscky, Jr., 84, of Mt. Braddock, passed away Friday, June 5, 2026, in Monarch Meadow, Uniontown.
He was born March 4, 1942, in Dunbar, to the late George Allen Ribniscky, Sr. and the late Margaret Jane Halfhill Ribniscky.
George will be fondly remembered as a special and loving husband, the best father, the best grandfather, and the best father-in-law.
He could always be found dancing when the opportunity arose, and he especially loved a good Polka!
During his working years, he was a member of the former Local 286 Laborers Union.
He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Sandy Etling Ribniscky; son, Michael Allen Ribniscky; eight grandchildren, Amanda Baker, Michael LaFisca, Gary Ribniscky, Jr., Joshua Ribniscky, Hayley Wiltrout, Brandon Ribniscky, Tommy Ribniscky, and Tyler Ribniscky; many great- grandchildren; three siblings, James Edward (Sheila) Ribniscky, Grayling (Cathy) Ribniscky, Cindy (Craig) Showman; daughters-in- law, Laura Ribniscky, and Amber Bell; many nieces and nephews; as well as his special aunt and close friend, Josephine Halfhill.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two sons, Gary Ray Ribniscky, Sr., and George Edward Ribniscky; infant sister, Linda Ribniscky; infant brother, Gary Ribniscky; and daughter-in-law, Renee Ribniscky; and his dog companion, “Tippy”.
Friends will be received in BURHANS- CROUSE FUNERAL HOME, 28 Connellsville Street, Dunbar, Tuesday, June 9, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., and Wednesday, June 10, from 9 until 10 a.m., the hour of service, with Pastor Lee Maley officiating.
Interment to follow in Mt. Auburn Cemetery, Dunbar.
