Sharon Louise McCoy Barton, 58, of Smithfield, passed away in her home, with her loving family by her side Wednesday, March 11, 2026.
She was born June 17, 1967 in Uniontown.
Preceding her in death were her parents, William and Barbara McCoy; sister, Brenda Sackett; and niece, Jennifer Rates.
Surviving are her husband of 32 years, Michael Barton Sr.; son, Michael Barton Jr. and wife Demi; grandson, Dawson James Barton; siblings, William F. McCoy Jr. and wife Twila, Robert James McCoy and wife Becky, Betty Ann Reckart and fiance Jeff Thomas, and Rebecca Lynn McCann and Greg Senda; many nieces and nephews; special aunt, Karen Fisher; and very close nieces, Rachel Chapman, Holly Hillyard and Billie Jean Krupa.
She loved being outside mowing and weed eating her lawn and spending time with her nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends and family from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, March 15, in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, where visitation continues Monday, March 16, from 10 until the time of a funeral service at 11 a.m., with Pastor Charlie Bowser officiating.
Interment in Mount Moriah Baptist Cemetery, Smithfield.
