John Glenn was a true American hero
In the season in which many of us will watch “It’s a Wonderful Life” for the umpteenth time, we fondly remember a man who truly did have such an existence, the late John Glenn.
Glenn served his country in a multitude of ways: as a military pilot, through his pioneering work for NASA, and as a distinguished United States senator.
The bravery of this trailblazer and pioneer was unmatched and he left the field of politics with his dignity and character intact. The American people never had to worry that he would make a fool of himself or of us when he spoke.
We shall not again see the likes of John Glenn, American treasure. Certainly his memory shall always be a blessing to his family and to his country.
